both hemispheres, concentrated mainly in Malaysia and tropical America.
Description: a family of succulents, mostly climbing, some resembling
lianas, with alternate leaves and flowers arranged in cymes or umbels. The
fruit may be a berry or drupe with the seeds containing albumen.
Soil: basic mix.
Location: dappled light.
Temperature: minimum temperature between 8 and 10°C (46-50°F).
Water: average.
Cultivation tips: easy; propagate from seed or cutting.
