Habitat: tropical belts.
Description: this family of dicotyledonous plants is comprised of seventy genera or so; the plants have a shrubby or tree-like habit and bear leaves with stipules. The fruit is a berry or nut with a large number of seeds. They are not considered real succulents.
Soil: basic mix.
Location: indirect light.
Temperature: the minimimum temperature recommended is 12-15°C (54-59°F).
Water: average.
Cultivation tips: they are fairly easy; raise from seed.
Main genera: Brachychiton.
